I called about 4 companies before speaking with Holly, the job was not urgent but needed to be done in the next day or two. I was promised to call back which I received and was given a time when the contractor would attend the property. Sam arrived on time, had a quick look at what needed to be done and got on with the job quickly and quietly cleaned up after he finished as well which was good to see with highly recommend this company. Bonus, they were also very good value with regards to the cost.

We have used Steve Murphy Electrical (SME) over several years for diverse faults, fixes and upgrades .... many needed on an urgent basis. On every occasion, without exception, the quality of service has been exceptional from ALL personnel ...friendly, fast, efficient, helpful and professional. Today's urgent request before 7am (after very heavy rain over the weekend) was answered promptly and 2 friendly/efficient technicians were on site this morning with all jobs done before lunchtime!! As usual, they called 10 minutes before arriving and gave constant updates of work progress!! Steve's follow up call with further constructive suggestions was greatly appreciated, considering their heavy workload today (Monday). On a previous occasion, we saw how SME went way above the call of duty to help a disabled neighbor without thanks or recompense. Left feeling less than ideal after a burst pipe caused electrical hazards around the house. The guys were prompt and gave me a 30 minute heads up call before arriving. James M and the apprentice were fantastic in communicating to me what the issues were, and how they’d be resolved. Carried themselves well and showed great workmanship. Couldn’t have asked for a better duo to save the day!

SMEC provided an exceptional service for a residential household job which included installing multiple data points, replacing ceiling fans and adding switch multipliers throughout my house. The electrician Steven’s sent for the job was informative and proficient at his trade. Moreover, the electrician maintained professionalism with executing the work while simultaneously educating and training his apprentice during tasks. SMEC felt reasonably priced in the market compared with competitors. However Steven went above and beyond throwing in obsolete hardware that I was needing and willing to utilise, this made the service very much affordable and highly competitive when you consider the all in costs. Steven also was able to quote my job over a weekend when I was readily available, which speaks to Steven's clear passion for his business and and work ethic. 5/5 would recommend to friends and family.

The boys at Steven Murphy are absolutely fantastic. I have never dealt with tradies who are so honest and wanted to go above and beyond to help me out, particularly Ben the refrigeration mechanic, he is an unbelievably good bloke. I couldn't recommend Steven Murphy more.

I had a great experience with their service. I contacted them on Thursday regarding NBN, and the person on the phone was very friendly and helpful. She promptly arranged for an electrician to come for a quotation on Saturday morning. Steve arrived on time, quickly identified the issue, and resolved it in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend their service and will definitely reach out to them again if needed.

We had great service experience today from Ben the air-conditioning technician. Great knowledge, good communication and solution to our problem. He checked out our aging system, advised on a low cost fix, then (same day) went out of his way to acquire the key part which would have been difficult or impossible for us even to know about. Much appreciated. Happy to recommend. Jeremy

Had a great experience with SME on a collection of small jobs around the house (oven, fan, GPOs). Great communication with their admins, prompt quoting and follow up to queries, and quality install by two great electricians (cheers Peter and James). Price was very fair too. I'd happily recommend SME.

I cannot thank these guys enough for the effort, service and response they gave me in solving an electrical emergency yesterday. After Fire Department and Western Power had attended my house, evaluated, did their due diligence and ascertained the “fried” meter box (Smoke was still coming from it when Fire arrived) needed an electrician, Steve Murphy Electricians were recommended to me. I called them, explained the situation and even though they were flat out and had a lot of staff on holidays, they compassionately juggled their day to attend and fix my problem…spending over two hours to do so. The skill, understanding, re-assurance and helpfulness of the guys that came out yesterday was the best I have ever experienced. I am forever grateful to the whole company and staff who are a credit to their business. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the best outcome in a very stressful day.

Steven Murphy Electrical Contractors are my go-to when I need an electrician at my home. The admin team are attentive and personable. The electricians themselves have proven (across 4-5 separate jobs) to be reliable, friendly and fast. They are a professional team focussed on the entire customer experience and it’s this end to end service that I value.
